Why choose our roofing contractor near you?
We offer roofing services for residential properties that focus on homeowners’ needs. A home roof has a steeper slope than most commercial roofs, which means shingles, flashing, and ventilation all have to work together to keep the house dry and safe.
Our local roofers explain how different materials perform in North Texas weather. Asphalt shingles are the most common choice because they are affordable and reliable. However, we also work with metal, tile, and slate. Each option has a different lifespan, weight, and look. For example, metal reflects heat and lasts longer, while slate is heavy but can last for generations.
We remove old shingles, replace damaged wood underneath, and install fresh underlayment that blocks moisture. Flashing is added around chimneys, vents, and skylights to stop leaks. Ridge caps and vents are installed so hot air escapes from the attic, which keeps the whole system lasting longer.
In addition, we help homeowners spot early warning signs. Missing shingles, dark streaks, or damp insulation in the attic are all reasons to call for an inspection. By catching minor issues quickly, our team saves families from bigger, more expensive problems later.

Our 24-hour roof repair for your home or business is meant for emergencies. When a storm tears away shingles or debris breaks through roofing materials, waiting until morning is not an option. Water can spread fast, damaging ceilings, insulation, and wiring in only a few hours.
Our roofers respond at any time of day or night to fix your problem. We install emergency tarps, seal broken areas, and clear loose debris so the damage does not get worse. These steps buy you time and protect the inside of the property until a complete repair can be made.
We also provide clear documentation for insurance. Photos, notes, and estimates are provided to homeowners and business owners to ensure the claim process runs smoothly. That way, you are not left explaining what happened without proof.
Once the property is secure, we offer permanent roofing solutions to stop leaks and replace damaged materials. This approach prevents small emergencies from turning into long-term structural problems.
Our hail and storm damage roofing solutions begin with a full inspection. Hailstones can leave dents in shingles, cracks in tiles, and even loosen flashing around chimneys and skylights. Wind often tears away materials or lifts them just enough to let water seep in.
Our local roofing repair company checks for damage that is not easy to see from the ground. Minor bruises on shingles or dents in vents may look harmless, but they weaken the system over time. Left untreated, these spots let moisture in and shorten the lifespan of the entire system.
We provide both emergency fixes and long-term restoration. Emergency work involves sealing exposed areas and covering gaps to prevent water from entering. Permanent restoration means replacing damaged materials, reinforcing vulnerable sections, and checking that gutters and drainage are clear so water moves away correctly.
We also help homeowners handle storm-related insurance claims. Documentation with photos and detailed notes is included in every inspection. This makes it easier to prove the extent of the damage to adjusters. Our goal is to deliver roofing solutions that restore safety quickly and ensure the system can stand up to the next Texas storm.
The signs that you need repairs often include:

Our roof installation starts with a full review of the home’s structure. Before any materials are installed, we check the framing, decking, and ventilation. This ensures the surface is strong enough to support the new system and that air can flow through the attic as it should.
Once the base is ready, we add the underlayment. This layer acts as a moisture barrier between the decking and the shingles. In areas prone to heavy rain or ice, we install extra protection along edges, valleys, and around chimneys to stop water from sneaking in.
Next, we install starter strips along the eaves. These strips keep shingles aligned and reduce the chance of wind lifting them later. Each shingle is nailed in a specific pattern and depth that follows GAF’s standards. Using the right method ensures the warranty remains valid and the system performs as designed.
To finish, ridge caps and ventilation components are installed. Ridge caps protect the highest points of the surface, while vents let hot air escape from the attic. This step helps lower cooling costs and extends the lifespan of the system.
Our process enhances durability and ensures compliance with modern building codes. By following each step closely, we give homeowners a new system built to last.

We offer roof replacements near you. A replacement is the right choice when shingles are missing across large areas, leaks have spread into the attic, or the material is more than 20 years old. Repeated patching often costs more in the long run, and replacement gives you a clean, reliable system.
Once we confirm replacement is needed, our crew begins by removing the old surface down to the decking. This allows us to inspect the wood underneath for rot, mold, or soft spots. Damaged sections are replaced, ensuring the new system has a solid foundation.
The next step is installing a moisture barrier and underlayment across the entire surface. Extra layers are added in valleys, along edges, and around chimneys or skylights. These details stop leaks where they are most likely to occur.
After the underlayment, new shingles or other materials are carefully installed. Each piece is secured using manufacturer guidelines to prevent wind damage and to qualify for complete warranty coverage. Ridge caps and vents are then added to finish the job and allow air to flow correctly through the attic.
A final inspection is done once the work is complete. Nails and debris are cleaned up, and the property is left safe and neat. With a complete replacement, property owners gain peace of mind knowing the system is strong, up to code, and ready for decades of use.
Yes, most roof replacement projects require a building permit. A permit is needed when the work involves removing old materials and installing a new system. Minor spot fixes usually do not need one, but full replacements do. The permit ensures the job meets local building codes for safety, wind resistance, and fire protection. Homeowners using a contractor can expect the contractor to pull the permit, while DIY work may require the homeowner to apply directly with the city.
We handle different types of roofs to match the style, slope, and needs of each property. Common types include:
Our roofers assist property owners with denied insurance claims. We guide you through the next steps after a claim is rejected. A denial often happens when damage is labeled as “wear and tear” instead of hail-related, or when photos and documents don’t fully prove the loss.
We step in by performing a fresh inspection and creating a detailed damage report. This includes photos, measurements, and notes that show where the system was compromised. These details can be added to an appeal, giving the homeowner stronger evidence to present.
While contractors in Texas cannot negotiate directly with the insurance company unless licensed as adjusters, we can provide the documentation and expert findings needed to support a case. This helps you avoid the frustration of vague rejections and gives a fair chance at coverage.

EXCELLENT Based on 60 reviews Posted on M Morrison2024-06-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was very impressed with the timeliness of SCR. Brian was not only patient with my insurance company inspector, but he was patient with me deciding on the perfect roof and gutter colors, which turned out great. He is honest, professional and knowledgeable. SCR was really a one stop shop to fit my needs of roofing, screens, and gutters. I love doing business with a resourceful company, basically, all your needs are under one roofing contractor. Brian thank you for your excellent and timely service. Mia MorrisonPosted on Emmett Richardson2024-05-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After a recent hail storm I called SCR’s Brian Roderick to come by and help me prepare a claim for my insurance company. This was the second time that I had worked with him on a claim for roof damage. The first had been handled very professionally with excellent results so I didn’t hesitate to be a return customer. Brian came out, inspected my roof and prepared a report listing all damages noted and an estimated cost to repair. He reviewed the insurance submission process with me and gave me a Hail Storm Report listing the date and time of the storm, path traveled, and reported hail stone sizes to submit with my claim. He also asked me to request that he be able to accompany the insurance company inspector during his inspection trip. The Insurance Company Inspector met with Brian on the agreed date, inspected the property with Brian and basically agreed to his assessment. As the agreed roof replacement date approached, Brian came by and reviewed what would happen the next day and announced that the crew would arrive and start work around 6:30 am. They arrived on time and the first person to ring our doorbell was the Crew Chief who introduced himself and said that if I had any questions during the day that I should just ask for him and he would take care of them. My wife asked him to be careful of some of the plants in our flower beds and he promptly had the crew arrange tarps to provide protective tents over sensitive plants. The work proceeded through the day with an army of roofers. I had told Brian that my wife and I had a dinner engagement and he showed up at the time I had told him we needed to leave. He said he would stay until everything was finished, including cleanup. When we returned that evening everything looked great and the property looked better than when they started. Hopefully I won’t need similar roofing efforts in the future, but in North Texas, who knows? If I do SCR will receive the call without hesitation. If Brian commits to something you can write it in ink…..it ain’t going to change.Posted on Joan Moses2024-04-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. SCR did a wonderful job from the start. Giving us multiple options and prices for roofing material. Cody Williams, our rep, was in regular contact and helped answer many questions for us.Posted on Andrew Bassford2024-04-16Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After a recent hailstorm, we received Mark and SCR's info from one of our neighbors after they had their roof replaced. Mark was very prompt in coming out and inspecting the roof. He helped guide us through the insurance claims and inspection process and helped facilitate the process of working with the insurance company. When it was time for the install, SCR had a large professional crew that came out and finished in about 6-7 hours. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards. It feels good going with a local experienced company, as some of the roofing folks that go door-to-door after weather events can be pushy. Mark and the team from SCR were very courteous and professional and didn't pressure us at any point in the process. We'll definitely work with SCR again in the future and would highly recommend them to others for honest pricing and quality work.Posted on Jay Newlin2024-03-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a real pleasure to work with Mark Safford at SCR! He did a great job not only working with my insurance adjuster but also helped to navigate through my mortgage lender's third party Assurant. Mark's experience in the industry helped me to get the full value from my roofing claim, and his team did an excellent job getting the roof replaced with top-quality attention to details. I highly recommend working with Mark and his team!Posted on Mike Fisher2024-02-29Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mark and his team were efficient and so easy to work with. Highly recommend. Roof looks great!Posted on J Mccoy2024-01-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was the best roofing experience, and we’ve dealt with several over the years with our rent houses. Brian was referred to me from a couple of neighbors. He came to the house and explained the process in detail, worked with our insurance company, gave me a couple of nearby addresses to drive by to help narrow down our choices. We have a steep roof with lots of angles and they finished in one day, cleaned up, and we have a great looking roof! I can’t say enough good things about them. Everything went flawlessly.Posted on Janie Carter2023-10-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent company! I will recommend Brian and his team at SCR, Inc to anyone needing roof repairs. They were punctual, hard working, honest and the quality of their work was beyond anything I've ever experienced. Thank you!
