What sets our general roofing contractors apart?
We have a team of former insurance adjusters who help overturn denied claims. Their background gives us an edge when helping homeowners because they know how policies are written, how inspections are evaluated, and what evidence is most likely to change an outcome.
Our experts carefully inspect the roofing system and the rest of the building for storm damage. This includes missing or damaged shingles, water stains inside the attic, and structural issues that might not be obvious to the untrained eye. Every detail is documented with photos, notes, and measurements that can be added to an appeal.
While contractors can’t negotiate directly with your insurer, our former adjusters know what documentation adjusters expect to see. This means we prepare a comprehensive, professional report that makes it more difficult for valid claims to be dismissed. Homeowners benefit from a smoother process and a better chance of getting coverage approved.
By combining our technical knowledge in roofing with an insider understanding of insurance procedures, we help families move forward with needed repairs instead of being stuck with a denial.

Our commercial and residential roofing contractor covers all your needs. Business properties often use flat or low-slope systems, while homes usually have steep-slope designs. Each requires a unique approach, different materials, and specialized knowledge.
For commercial projects, we work with systems like TPO, PVC, EPDM, and modified bitumen. These materials handle large surface areas, frequent foot traffic from maintenance crews, and heavy equipment like HVAC units. Regular inspections and maintenance are key because even small punctures or drainage issues can cause big problems inside the building.
For home projects, we install shingles, metal, tile, and slate systems. Homes need both curb appeal and long-term protection from heat, wind, and storms. Our process includes removing worn materials, repairing the deck underneath, and installing proper ventilation so the home stays cooler in summer and moisture doesn’t build up in the attic.
By offering both business and home services, we provide tailored solutions for every type of property. Whether it’s a warehouse that needs durable waterproofing or a family home that needs a fresh shingle installation, our team is here for you.

Our emergency roof service fixes leaks or any other issues that cannot wait. A sudden hole, fallen tree limb, or missing section lets water in fast. Our crew provides tarping, sealing, and temporary fixes to stop further damage. Once the property is safe, we plan the permanent solution. Quick action prevents bigger problems inside walls and ceilings.
We offer roof installation and replacement for businesses & local homes. For a new property, we install decking, underlayment, flashing, and vents. For older properties, we tear off the worn system, check the wood underneath, and install new materials. Each stage follows code and manufacturer guidelines. A proper installation protects the home for decades and keeps warranties valid.
Call (972) 839-6834 for installations.
Our storm damage roof repairs begin with a thorough inspection to identify underlying issues. High winds, heavy rain, and flying debris leave behind cracks, missing shingles, and leaks. Our team documents everything with photos to support insurance claims. We provide temporary sealing if needed and then restore the damaged areas. Acting fast stops water from spreading into insulation and drywall.
Our hail damage service focuses on dents and bruises that weaken the system. Hailstones knock off shingle granules, crack tiles, and dent metal surfaces. Even minor marks can shorten lifespan and let water in. We carefully inspect, mark problem areas, and replace what is broken. This process restores strength and protects the home from future leaks.

Yes, you need permits to install new roofs in Lake Dallas. The city requires permits for full replacements and new installations so that the work meets safety codes. This includes checks for wind resistance, fire safety, and proper installation.
Our local roofers guide homeowners through the permit process. We make sure every project is approved before work begins, so there are no delays or fines.
Permits are essential when the work is part of bigger remodeling services or whole-house renovations. Large projects often involve changes to framing, decking, or ventilation, and the city must confirm that everything is built to code.
Our roofing company handles different roofs, from asphalt shingles and metal panels to tile, slate, and flat systems. Each type has its own lifespan, cost, and upkeep needs. EXCELLENT Based on 60 reviews Posted on M Morrison2024-06-25Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was very impressed with the timeliness of SCR. Brian was not only patient with my insurance company inspector, but he was patient with me deciding on the perfect roof and gutter colors, which turned out great. He is honest, professional and knowledgeable. SCR was really a one stop shop to fit my needs of roofing, screens, and gutters. I love doing business with a resourceful company, basically, all your needs are under one roofing contractor. Brian thank you for your excellent and timely service. Mia MorrisonPosted on Emmett Richardson2024-05-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After a recent hail storm I called SCR’s Brian Roderick to come by and help me prepare a claim for my insurance company. This was the second time that I had worked with him on a claim for roof damage. The first had been handled very professionally with excellent results so I didn’t hesitate to be a return customer. Brian came out, inspected my roof and prepared a report listing all damages noted and an estimated cost to repair. He reviewed the insurance submission process with me and gave me a Hail Storm Report listing the date and time of the storm, path traveled, and reported hail stone sizes to submit with my claim. He also asked me to request that he be able to accompany the insurance company inspector during his inspection trip. The Insurance Company Inspector met with Brian on the agreed date, inspected the property with Brian and basically agreed to his assessment. As the agreed roof replacement date approached, Brian came by and reviewed what would happen the next day and announced that the crew would arrive and start work around 6:30 am. They arrived on time and the first person to ring our doorbell was the Crew Chief who introduced himself and said that if I had any questions during the day that I should just ask for him and he would take care of them. My wife asked him to be careful of some of the plants in our flower beds and he promptly had the crew arrange tarps to provide protective tents over sensitive plants. The work proceeded through the day with an army of roofers. I had told Brian that my wife and I had a dinner engagement and he showed up at the time I had told him we needed to leave. He said he would stay until everything was finished, including cleanup. When we returned that evening everything looked great and the property looked better than when they started. Hopefully I won’t need similar roofing efforts in the future, but in North Texas, who knows? If I do SCR will receive the call without hesitation. If Brian commits to something you can write it in ink…..it ain’t going to change.Posted on Joan Moses2024-04-18Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. SCR did a wonderful job from the start. Giving us multiple options and prices for roofing material. Cody Williams, our rep, was in regular contact and helped answer many questions for us.Posted on Andrew Bassford2024-04-16Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After a recent hailstorm, we received Mark and SCR's info from one of our neighbors after they had their roof replaced. Mark was very prompt in coming out and inspecting the roof. He helped guide us through the insurance claims and inspection process and helped facilitate the process of working with the insurance company. When it was time for the install, SCR had a large professional crew that came out and finished in about 6-7 hours. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards. It feels good going with a local experienced company, as some of the roofing folks that go door-to-door after weather events can be pushy. Mark and the team from SCR were very courteous and professional and didn't pressure us at any point in the process. We'll definitely work with SCR again in the future and would highly recommend them to others for honest pricing and quality work.Posted on Jay Newlin2024-03-23Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a real pleasure to work with Mark Safford at SCR! He did a great job not only working with my insurance adjuster but also helped to navigate through my mortgage lender's third party Assurant. Mark's experience in the industry helped me to get the full value from my roofing claim, and his team did an excellent job getting the roof replaced with top-quality attention to details. I highly recommend working with Mark and his team!Posted on Mike Fisher2024-02-29Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our two story home suffered hail damage and had leaks on the dining room. CSR was our choice and it was right on target. Price, quality and workmanship is unmatched. Thank you for a great job.Posted on Jeff Hague2024-02-08Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic job replacing my roof after a hail storm. Cody made the process easy, quick and painless. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future. Highly recommend!!Posted on Sheri Amiri2024-02-06Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful experience with my recent roof replacement! Mark and his team were efficient and so easy to work with. Highly recommend. Roof looks great!Posted on J Mccoy2024-01-07Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was the best roofing experience, and we’ve dealt with several over the years with our rent houses. Brian was referred to me from a couple of neighbors. He came to the house and explained the process in detail, worked with our insurance company, gave me a couple of nearby addresses to drive by to help narrow down our choices. We have a steep roof with lots of angles and they finished in one day, cleaned up, and we have a great looking roof! I can’t say enough good things about them. Everything went flawlessly.Posted on Janie Carter2023-10-27Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent company! I will recommend Brian and his team at SCR, Inc to anyone needing roof repairs. They were punctual, hard working, honest and the quality of their work was beyond anything I've ever experienced. Thank you!

Yes, Lake Dallas, TX is a good place to live if you want small-town charm, affordable housing, and quick access to Lake Lewisville for outdoor activities.
Lake Dallas is known for its close-knit community, access to Lake Lewisville, family-friendly parks, and easy commuting distance to Dallas–Fort Worth.
Asphalt shingles on a residential property usually last 15 to 30 years, depending on weather, installation quality, and upkeep.
Roofing solutions if you don’t want a complete replacement, include patching damaged areas, sealing leaks, adding protective coatings, or replacing only worn sections.
A professional roof inspection is recommended before selling a home because it reveals hidden issues, proves the condition to buyers, and avoids last-minute surprises during negotiations.
A roof replacement makes more sense than repeated minor fixes when leaks spread across large areas, shingles are nearing the end of their lifespan, or repairs cost more than replacement.
Maintenance for different types of roofings should be scheduled at least once a year, but older systems or those in storm-prone areas may need checks twice yearly.
You should stop patching and plan for new construction when leaks keep coming back, materials are near the end of their lifespan, or structural damage has spread.
Yes, restoration is usually a cheaper option than replacing the whole system because it repairs and strengthens what’s already there instead of tearing everything off.
