Why choose SCR for emergency roof leak repair?
Our emergency roof leak repair services cover everything from tarping to full repair and insurance documentation.
When wind rips shingles off your roof, our roof tarping and board-up services seal the damage fast. We use high-quality tarps rated for UV and high wind. We make sure they can stay put until permanent repairs are made.
A blown-out window or broken skylight turns a roof leak into an indoor disaster. We cut and fasten boards to block rain, wind, and debris. They stop the damage from spreading and stay up until permanent replacements are made. You also get the time to file your insurance claim.
Water rarely shows up where it actually leaks. Our crews use advanced thermal imaging to track moisture behind ceilings, through insulation, and across decking. That pinpoints the true source of the leak without tearing up your home.
Not every leak needs a full tear-off. A loose flashing or a lifted shingle can be patched the same day. In these cases, our roof leak repair service targets the exact failure point, seals it right, and restores protection.
When damage runs deeper than a patch can handle, we offer full roof repair services to fix the problem. That includes decking replacement and flashing fixes. We scope the job, write the estimate, and start as soon as you approve.
Most hail and wind leaks trigger an insurance claim. Our team includes former all-lines licensed adjusters, so we document roof damage with photos and written scopes. We work alongside your carrier’s adjuster on-site. If the claim is denied, our appraisal process gives you a second shot.
Tarping covers a leak temporarily, while a patch fixes the source of the leak. The best option for your situation depends on the extent of the roof damage, the weather, and how soon a permanent repair can be scheduled.

EXCELLENT Based on 60 reviews Posted on M MorrisonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I was very impressed with the timeliness of SCR. Brian was not only patient with my insurance company inspector, but he was patient with me deciding on the perfect roof and gutter colors, which turned out great. He is honest, professional and knowledgeable. SCR was really a one stop shop to fit my needs of roofing, screens, and gutters. I love doing business with a resourceful company, basically, all your needs are under one roofing contractor. Brian thank you for your excellent and timely service. Mia MorrisonPosted on Emmett RichardsonTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After a recent hail storm I called SCR’s Brian Roderick to come by and help me prepare a claim for my insurance company. This was the second time that I had worked with him on a claim for roof damage. The first had been handled very professionally with excellent results so I didn’t hesitate to be a return customer. Brian came out, inspected my roof and prepared a report listing all damages noted and an estimated cost to repair. He reviewed the insurance submission process with me and gave me a Hail Storm Report listing the date and time of the storm, path traveled, and reported hail stone sizes to submit with my claim. He also asked me to request that he be able to accompany the insurance company inspector during his inspection trip. The Insurance Company Inspector met with Brian on the agreed date, inspected the property with Brian and basically agreed to his assessment. As the agreed roof replacement date approached, Brian came by and reviewed what would happen the next day and announced that the crew would arrive and start work around 6:30 am. They arrived on time and the first person to ring our doorbell was the Crew Chief who introduced himself and said that if I had any questions during the day that I should just ask for him and he would take care of them. My wife asked him to be careful of some of the plants in our flower beds and he promptly had the crew arrange tarps to provide protective tents over sensitive plants. The work proceeded through the day with an army of roofers. I had told Brian that my wife and I had a dinner engagement and he showed up at the time I had told him we needed to leave. He said he would stay until everything was finished, including cleanup. When we returned that evening everything looked great and the property looked better than when they started. Hopefully I won’t need similar roofing efforts in the future, but in North Texas, who knows? If I do SCR will receive the call without hesitation. If Brian commits to something you can write it in ink…..it ain’t going to change.Posted on Joan MosesTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. SCR did a wonderful job from the start. Giving us multiple options and prices for roofing material. Cody Williams, our rep, was in regular contact and helped answer many questions for us.Posted on Andrew BassfordTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. After a recent hailstorm, we received Mark and SCR's info from one of our neighbors after they had their roof replaced. Mark was very prompt in coming out and inspecting the roof. He helped guide us through the insurance claims and inspection process and helped facilitate the process of working with the insurance company. When it was time for the install, SCR had a large professional crew that came out and finished in about 6-7 hours. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards. It feels good going with a local experienced company, as some of the roofing folks that go door-to-door after weather events can be pushy. Mark and the team from SCR were very courteous and professional and didn't pressure us at any point in the process. We'll definitely work with SCR again in the future and would highly recommend them to others for honest pricing and quality work.Posted on Jay NewlinTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. It was a real pleasure to work with Mark Safford at SCR! He did a great job not only working with my insurance adjuster but also helped to navigate through my mortgage lender's third party Assurant. Mark's experience in the industry helped me to get the full value from my roofing claim, and his team did an excellent job getting the roof replaced with top-quality attention to details. I highly recommend working with Mark and his team!Posted on Mike FisherTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Our two story home suffered hail damage and had leaks on the dining room. CSR was our choice and it was right on target. Price, quality and workmanship is unmatched. Thank you for a great job.Posted on Jeff HagueTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Fantastic job replacing my roof after a hail storm. Cody made the process easy, quick and painless. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. I will definitely be doing business with them in the future. Highly recommend!!Posted on Sheri AmiriTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Wonderful experience with my recent roof replacement! Mark and his team were efficient and so easy to work with. Highly recommend. Roof looks great!Posted on J MccoyTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This was the best roofing experience, and we’ve dealt with several over the years with our rent houses. Brian was referred to me from a couple of neighbors. He came to the house and explained the process in detail, worked with our insurance company, gave me a couple of nearby addresses to drive by to help narrow down our choices. We have a steep roof with lots of angles and they finished in one day, cleaned up, and we have a great looking roof! I can’t say enough good things about them. Everything went flawlessly.Posted on Janie CarterTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Excellent company! I will recommend Brian and his team at SCR, Inc to anyone needing roof repairs. They were punctual, hard working, honest and the quality of their work was beyond anything I've ever experienced. Thank you!

Dallas-Fort Worth is the fourth-largest metropolitan area in the United States. It’s made up of two main cities and 200-plus surrounding communities.
The DFW Metroplex covers 11 counties and more than 8 million residents. Dallas was founded in 1841 along the Trinity River. Then, in 1849, Fort Worth became a frontier Army post, earning it the nickname “Cowtown.” Today, the region blends cosmopolitan polish with Western heritage.
Popular landmarks include the Stockyards, Exchange Avenue, Arlington’s AT&T Stadium, and Globe Life Field.
Dallas and Fort Worth are two separate cities about 30 miles apart. Together with more than 200 surrounding cities, they form the DFW Metroplex.
Dallas is a single city. Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) refers to the full metropolitan area that includes Dallas, Fort Worth, Arlington, Plano, Frisco, and other cities across 11 counties.
Minor local repairs run between $350 and $900. Bigger fixes, decking replacement, or after-hours emergencies can push that higher. You get a free roof inspection and written estimate before any work starts.
Most policies cover leaks caused by sudden events such as hail, wind, or falling trees. But leaks from age, wear, or poor maintenance are often not covered. Your policy and your adjuster make the final call.
No. A healthy roof sheds rain without issue. If yours leaks during a storm, something is wrong. The problem may be damaged shingles, failed flashing, or a cracked vent boot.
Water damages decking, insulation, drywall, and framing. Mold can start growing within 48 hours. Long-term leaks can cause structural decay and electrical hazards.
Inside, place buckets and tarps on the floor. Outside, a tarp over the damaged area was weighed down or anchored. Real fixes need a professional roofer and dry weather.
For a small, one-spot patch, maybe. But handymen rarely have the needed experience or the license. A certified roofer protects your warranty and gives you the paperwork your insurance claim needs.
You don’t, not permanently. Stay off the roof. A professional can install an emergency tarp to stop active water entry. Permanent repairs wait until the roof is dry enough to work on safely.
No. Small leaks grow into big ones, and the damage behind the drywall is usually worse than what you see.
Roof leaks only show up after rain and often leave brown stains. Plumbing leaks happen any time, wet or dry weather. They often smell musty and are found under bathrooms and kitchens.
