SCR, Inc. is a GAF-certified commercial and residential roofing company in Murphy, TX. We offer hail damage roof repairs, replacement, and new roof installation services.
Why Choose Our Roofing Contractor in Murphy TX?
Our team handles complete system installations that protect your property from weather, heat, and moisture. We begin with a complete evaluation of the frame, slope, and ventilation needs. Every part is measured, leveled, and prepped for long-term performance.
Our Murphy roofers install shingles, panels, and support layers that comply with local codes and climate conditions. We use materials that resist wind, UV damage, and water intrusion, all of which are secured with precision fastening. Our clean process keeps your space safe while we build out every layer. You get more than coverage, you get a lasting structure built for comfort, safety, and peace of mind.
Old roofing materials can no longer protect your property as effectively as they should. Cracks, curling edges, and missing pieces are signs the surface has worn out. Over time, heat, hail, and wind weaken the layers beneath. If you keep repairing your roofing system, a complete roof replacement is the best solution.
We inspect the structure before removing anything. Our roofers check the deck, fasteners, and ventilation. If the wood is soft or the system traps heat, we correct those issues first. That way, your new installation lasts longer and performs better.
Our licensed roofing company in Murphy, TX installs full systems built for Texas weather. We use materials that resist impact, reflect heat, and meet building codes. Each panel and underlayment is secured for strength and long-term use. A new roof replacement prevents future leaks, reduces energy consumption, and enhances resale value. We explain every step and clean up as we go.
Cracks, missing sections, or stains on your ceiling indicate that repairs are necessary. Heat, hail, and seasonal storms wear out coverings faster than you think. Early damage starts small, with loose corners, worn sealant, or missing layers.
We inspect everything carefully before we start repairing your roof. Our team thoroughly checks flashing, vents, underlayers, and drainage to ensure that nothing is missed. We repair the damage and reinforce weak areas to prevent the problem from recurring.
Our solutions extend the lifespan of your current system. We focus on saving your structure before full replacement is needed. Timely service helps prevent water damage, mold, and higher long-term costs.
Emergency repair stops water, wind, or debris from causing fast-moving damage.
This service is for situations where waiting poses a risk, such as leaks during a storm or broken sections after an impact. A fast fix protects your insulation, walls, and ceilings.
Our Murphy roofing contractor acts quickly to secure and seal the area. We use tarps, sealants, and support materials that provide temporary protection until complete permanent solutions are possible. The goal is to block out water and stabilize the structure.
Every emergency call is followed by a subsequent inspection. We inspect for hidden damage and recommend the next steps. Quick action now prevents major issues later.
Storms leave behind more than visible damage.
Strong winds can lift coverings, and hail can bruise the surface without breaking it. These weak spots often lead to hidden leaks and rot if ignored.
Our team utilizes storm tracking and inspection tools to determine the location and cause of the damage.
We look for broken seals, missing sections, and soft areas beneath the surface. This helps us repair only what’s damaged and restore full strength.
We also assist in documenting the damage for insurance purposes. Photos, measurements, and weather reports make it easier to prove your claim. That way, your home receives the necessary solutions with minimal delay.
Hail can crack surfaces, knock off protective layers, and weaken the structure underneath.
Even small hailstones can bruise materials and loosen sealants, creating invisible paths for water. Over time, this leads to leaks, mold, and insulation damage. The outer layer may look fine, but the impact often runs deeper.
As experienced Murphy general contractors, we inspect every layer, not just what’s visible.
We check for splits, granule loss, and dents around vents or flashing. Once we confirm the damage, we remove compromised materials and rebuild the surface with reinforced protection.
Every repair adheres to state code, meets manufacturer specifications, and enhances long-term durability. We restore full function and stop future issues before they start.
If your claim was denied, we take a second look and help you get your coverage. Our inspections focus on what insurance adjusters miss, impact marks, lifted edges, or seal failures. We document everything using photos, written reports, and verified weather data. This helps connect the damage to the event, which is what your insurer needs to reverse a denial.
As a trusted Murphy roofing company, we understand how to communicate effectively with insurers. We meet with the adjuster, explain the damage in detail, and provide code-based reasons for needed solutions. We present facts that increase the likelihood of approval.
We’ve helped many homeowners and business owners turn denied claims into approved coverage. That means fewer out-of-pocket expenses and greater confidence that the job is done correctly. If you’ve been told no, let us build the case that turns things around, with no pressure and no confusion.

M Morrison2024-06-25I was very impressed with the timeliness of SCR. Brian was not only patient with my insurance company inspector, but he was patient with me deciding on the perfect roof and gutter colors, which turned out great. He is honest, professional and knowledgeable. SCR was really a one stop shop to fit my needs of roofing, screens, and gutters. I love doing business with a resourceful company, basically, all your needs are under one roofing contractor. Brian thank you for your excellent and timely service. Emmett Richardson2024-05-18After a recent hail storm I called SCR’s Brian Roderick to come by and help me prepare a claim for my insurance company. This was the second time that I had worked with him on a claim for roof damage. The first had been handled very professionally with excellent results so I didn’t hesitate to be a return customer. Brian came out, inspected my roof and prepared a report listing all damages noted and an estimated cost to repair. He reviewed the insurance submission process with me and gave me a Hail Storm Report listing the date and time of the storm, path traveled, and reported hail stone sizes to submit with my claim. He also asked me to request that he be able to accompany the insurance company inspector during his inspection trip. The Insurance Company Inspector met with Brian on the agreed date, inspected the property with Brian and basically agreed to his assessment. As the agreed roof replacement date approached, Brian came by and reviewed what would happen the next day and announced that the crew would arrive and start work around 6:30 am. They arrived on time and the first person to ring our doorbell was the Crew Chief who introduced himself and said that if I had any questions during the day that I should just ask for him and he would take care of them. My wife asked him to be careful of some of the plants in our flower beds and he promptly had the crew arrange tarps to provide protective tents over sensitive plants. The work proceeded through the day with an army of roofers. I had told Brian that my wife and I had a dinner engagement and he showed up at the time I had told him we needed to leave. He said he would stay until everything was finished, including cleanup. When we returned that evening everything looked great and the property looked better than when they started. Hopefully I won’t need similar roofing efforts in the future, but in North Texas, who knows? If I do SCR will receive the call without hesitation. If Brian commits to something you can write it in ink…..it ain’t going to change.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

Andrew Bassford2024-04-16After a recent hailstorm, we received Mark and SCR's info from one of our neighbors after they had their roof replaced. Mark was very prompt in coming out and inspecting the roof. He helped guide us through the insurance claims and inspection process and helped facilitate the process of working with the insurance company. When it was time for the install, SCR had a large professional crew that came out and finished in about 6-7 hours. They did a good job cleaning up afterwards. It feels good going with a local experienced company, as some of the roofing folks that go door-to-door after weather events can be pushy. Mark and the team from SCR were very courteous and professional and didn't pressure us at any point in the process. We'll definitely work with SCR again in the future and would highly recommend them to others for honest pricing and quality work.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

I highly recommend working with Mark and his team!Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

J Mccoy2024-01-07This was the best roofing experience, and we’ve dealt with several over the years with our rent houses. Brian was referred to me from a couple of neighbors. He came to the house and explained the process in detail, worked with our insurance company, gave me a couple of nearby addresses to drive by to help narrow down our choices. We have a steep roof with lots of angles and they finished in one day, cleaned up, and we have a great looking roof! I can’t say enough good things about them. Everything went flawlessly.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google.

Storm damage roof repairs prevent minor issues from becoming costly problems.
High winds and hail can loosen materials or create hidden leaks. Fast repairs stop water from entering and damaging insulation, ceilings, or framing. Getting repairs done quickly also helps support insurance claims with timely documentation.
Professional roof inspections should be scheduled at least once a year. Inspections check for cracked surfaces, missing parts, weak seams, and early signs of leaks. It’s also a good idea to schedule an inspection after intense storms. Regular checks help you catch issues before they grow into major repairs.
Roof maintenance includes cleaning, minor fixes, and checking for wear to extend the system’s life. Tasks may include removing debris, resealing flashing, and tightening fasteners. Regular upkeep helps prevent water damage and heat loss. Maintenance also helps keep warranties valid and prevents early replacements.
Roofing solutions for high-wind areas include reinforced shingles, metal panels, and impact-rated systems.
These materials resist uplift and stay secure during strong gusts. Proper installation, including nailed patterns and sealed edges, makes the biggest difference. Selecting a system rated for specific wind zones enhances long-term protection.
