After reviewing your aerial photos from EagleView®, our Project Manager will use a digital design tool to show you a variety of materials, colors and roofing styles that’ll appear on your home with a 3D rendering. You’ll also receive a product and installation quote during this meeting.
Your project team will manage the installation so you don’t have to. We use only top-quality products and trustworthy installers so you can feel confident about your roofing investment.
If your home shows signs of damage like those below, it may be time for a roof replacement.
An inspection would be needed to determine the extent of damage, and whether repair or replacement is necessary.
Both leaks from outside the house and moisture trapped inside can cause stains and, possibly, mold or mildew.
If you’ve noticed asphalt granules in the gutters or on the ground, it may be time to consider a roof replacement.
Poor ventilation can trap moisture in your house, which may cause exterior paint to peel and blister.
It may be time for a new roof when shingles fall off and/or become cracked, brittle, or curled or when dark streaks appear. Don’t assume these unsightly stains are dirt. They may be moss, lichen or blue-green algae.
Poor ventilation and moisture in your roofing layers may damage sheathing, the layer of plywood that forms the foundation of your roof. If you have sagging ceilings, broken gutters, leaks or missing patches of shingles, your sheathing may need repair.
After severe weather, check for moisture in the attic. A leak could mean there are damaged or missing shingles or that the underlayment or flashing has failed. Note that underlayment is a protective barrier between your shingles and the plywood of your roof, while flashing is the material that seals joints on your roof.
SCR offers a Lifetime Labor and Workmanship Warranty on all new roof replacements with a complimentary annual inspection by an SCR Project Manager.
SCR uses state of the art dimensional reports for the leading industry providers Eagleview, Hover and GAF Quick Measure.
Every policy has different provisions and this will need to be determined after reviewing your policy.
Start with a professional inspection of your property. You do not want to file an unnecessary claim that could hurt your underwriting score. If there is significant damages then file your claim online and do not call. Every call made to your insurance company is recorded.
Ideally 30 to 90 days, however each project is unique. There are instances where the policy issuer may be difficult to deal with and slow in responding. There are other considerations such as weather and availability of the desired materials.
Upgrading should be considered, but may not be necessary depending on several factors. If you are planning on selling the home upgrading is not necessary. If you are keeping your home and you have a lower grade of shingle that would be a good time to investigate the possibility. If your region suffers numerous hail or wind storms you probably should consider other roofing materials as well.
House Bill 2102 passed in the Texas Legislative session in 2019 and became effective September 1st that same year. “It is illegal for contractors or roofers to offer to waive a deductible or promise a rebate for all or part of a deductible. Under the new law effective September 1, violators could get up to a $2,000 fine and up to six months in jail.” See The Texas Department of Insurance statement on the matter at the following address: https://www.tdi.texas.gov/news/2019/tdi08072019.html
